After Hours Care

Healesville Hospital GP Clinic provides after-hours care 7 days per week

Monday to Friday 6.00 pm  to 8.00 pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays - 10.00 am to 5.00 pm

Home Visits

Provided only where warranted by the condition of the patient and when it is convenient to schedule the visit between the doctor's other responsibilities. This may be requested by contacting the Clinic during office hours.

Communication with a Doctor 

If you need to speak with your Doctor regarding an urgent matter, it may be necessary for the admin staff to take a message. Your Doctor will call you back as soon as possible. The Practice Nurse is available for returning phone-calls regarding pathology results between 12.30 pm and 1.00 pm

Repeat Prescriptions

If you would like to renew your usual prescriptions a time can be arranged at 11.00 am and 4.00 pm for a telephone consult.

Prescriptions for antibiotics and those requiring authorisation need a face to face appointment 

Recalls and Reminders

To facilitate our aim for health promotion and disease prevention, our clinic utlises a recall and reminder system for routine tests, vaccinations, chronic disease reviews and general health checks. If you do not wish to participate please advise your doctor or nurse or the admin team.

Billing Arrangements

Our aim is to keep out of pocket costs to a minimum. Pensioners, Veteran Affairs patients, Health-Care Card holders and children under 16 years will be bulk-billed. Additional information is available from the "Fees" link on the home page.

Feedback and Suggestions

We constantly strive to maintain and improve the quality of our service. At times we may ask you to complete a written survey about our practice. The survey is voluntary and confidential. 

A suggestion box is also available in the waiting room.

If you feel that you have a complaint - our Practice Manager or your Doctor are willing to discuss this with you.
